British Paraglider Killed in Accident Near Tremp, Spain

A 63-year-old British tourist was killed after a paragliding mishap in Catalonia’s Palau de Noguera area on Wednesday. The incident was reported at around 13:30 local time (14:30 BST). Emergency teams reached the scene quickly, providing first aid before the man succumbed to his injuries.

Local media suggest the man may have become entangled in power lines before hitting the ground, though authorities have not yet confirmed the exact cause. The UK Foreign Office has stated it is supporting the family through consular channels.

The Catalan government confirmed that three fire brigades and two medical teams attended the scene, and that the Mossos d’Esquadra worked with five citizen security and investigation units. The response involved coordinated efforts across multiple agencies.
