UK‑Iranian dual national released on bail after RAF Fairford arrest

A 25‑year‑old UK‑Iranian dual national was arrested on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts linked to RAF Fairford, but has now been released on bail.
The man was detained in Westminster on Thursday after police received alerts about three suspicious vehicles near the Gloucestershire airbase last weekend, prompting a major incident declaration and evacuation of dozens of homes.
Two property searches in Westminster are now complete. Five other men, all UK nationals from London, were also arrested in the same week and subsequently released on police bail.
The investigation into the events continues, with authorities urging the public to remain vigilant.
