NEW YORK (PulseWire) — An Air Canada plane collided with a fire truck at LaGuardia Airport, resulting in a horrific incident that claimed the lives of the pilot and co-pilot. However, the situation took a miraculous turn as flight attendant Solange Tremblay managed to survive despite being thrown from the aircraft.

Her daughter, Sarah Lepine, described the event as a ‘total miracle’ while confirming that her mother, though sustaining multiple fractures to one leg, is in stable condition. Leapine stated, ‘I’m still trying to understand how all this happened, but she definitely has a guardian angel watching over her.’

Aviation safety expert Jeff Guzzetti remarked that Tremblay's survival can likely be attributed to her being strapped in her seat, known for its robust design. 'The flight attendant’s seat is a jump seat that folds down and is bolted to the wall, designed to withstand more crash loads than regular passenger seats,' Guzzetti explained.

The jet was carrying over 70 passengers when it tragically collided with a Port Authority vehicle responding to an incident involving another aircraft. The incident has raised questions about airport safety protocols and the procedures during emergency responses.

This shocking incident has drawn comparisons to previous aviation accidents, such as the Asiana Airlines crash in 2013, which highlighted the significant risks faced by flight attendants during such emergencies.
