Avalanche on Pakistan’s Broad Peak Leaves Seven Climbers Missing

On Thursday, an avalanche on Pakistan’s Broad Peak swept through the Karakoram range, killing three members of a 10‑person climbing team and leaving seven others missing.

The trio of bodies recovered at the site were identified as Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy from Oman, Pur Bahadur Gurun from Nepal and Mallory Geis from the United States.

Rescue crews are still combing the area as the operation continues on Saturday, searching for the missing climbers and gathering equipment that fell during the collapse.
