Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with a string of burglaries that included a targeted raid on actor Brad Pitt's home. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspects, which include two 18-year-olds, a 17-year-old, and a 16-year-old, are believed to be members of a street gang responsible for multiple break-ins across the city.

Police Chief Jim McDonnell revealed that items stolen from various celebrity residences were discovered during a search of the suspects' homes. Although the police did not officially disclose the identities of other targeted celebrities, break-ins have been reported involving stars such as Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, LA Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and former LA Football Club striker Olivier Giroud this year.

The investigation into the burglaries commenced in late June after a trio of masked intruders broke into a property that officials indicated belonged to Pitt, matching an address he acquired earlier in 2023. McDonnell recounted how the group bypassed the security perimeter and broke a window to access the house, taking valuables before making their escape. At the time of the burglary, Pitt was not present, as he was engaged in promotional activities for his upcoming film, "F1."

Detectives traced the suspects, leading to their arrest on charges of burglary. McDonnell highlighted the clever tactics employed by these burglars, who are known to install surveillance cameras in the vicinity of their targets to track their movements. Additionally, they have utilized Wi-Fi jammers to disable security systems and cameras in order to facilitate their break-ins.

He cautioned, especially in this digital age, that celebrities and athletes often become targets due to their public-facing lifestyles, which reveal their whereabouts online. Authorities encourage vigilance, as posting travel updates on social media can inadvertently signal to potential thieves when a home is unoccupied.
