Actor Kevin Spacey has agreed to an out-of-court settlement with three men who had filed civil lawsuits against him, accusing him of sexual assault. The civil cases were set to go to trial at the High Court later this year, but those proceedings are now frozen following the settlement.

The allegations against Spacey stem from incidents purportedly occurring between 2000 and 2013, during his career in film and theater. The 66-year-old Oscar winner has consistently denied any wrongdoing. In a separate criminal trial in 2023, Spacey was acquitted of nine sexual offence charges.

Two of the men who accused Spacey during the criminal trial also filed civil claims. One accuser, known only as LNP, alleged that Spacey assaulted him on about twelve occasions between 2000 and 2005. Another accuser, referred to as GHI, claimed he suffered psychiatric damage and financial loss as a result of an encounter with Spacey in 2008, which took place after they met at a workshop at London's Old Vic theatre, where Spacey served as artistic director from 2004 to 2013.

The third accuser, Ruari Cannon, waived his right to anonymity. Cannon alleges that Spacey groped him at a party following the press night of Tennessee Williams' play 'Sweet Bird of Youth' at the Old Vic in 2013. Cannon also participated in a 2024 Channel 4 documentary titled 'Spacey Unmasked'.

Details regarding the settlements with Spacey have not been disclosed, and previous hearings indicated that witness accounts alleging similar behavior by Spacey would have been included if the case had gone to trial.
