On November 1, 2026, Xinhua reported that Vietnam’s total import‑export turnover reached an estimated 1.01 trillion U.S. dollars in the first ten months of the year, a year‑on‑year increase of 32.3 percent.

Exports climbed 27.4 percent to about $499 billion, with processed and manufactured industrial products accounting for 87.4 percent of the total export value, the ministry cited in the report.

In October alone, Vietnam’s trade turnover hit $122.2 billion, an increase of 47.6 percent year‑on‑year, and the month’s trade surplus was $6.8 billion, narrowing the cumulative ten‑month deficit to roughly $12.7 billion.

These figures underscore Vietnam’s growing economic integration and export diversification, signaling continued momentum in its trade performance as it pursues a more robust domestic export base.
