Russian Strikes Hit Kyiv Bridges Again
For the fourth day in a row, Russian forces have targeted Kyiv’s key infrastructure. The Pivnichnyi (Northern) Bridge was struck again, while the Pivdennyi (Southern) Bridge has seen repeated hits this week.
The latest raid came as German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a surprise visit to Kyiv, sending a stark reminder of the city’s vulnerability.
BBC Ukraine correspondent Dan Johnson, positioned near one of the struck bridges, explains the situation: “We’re seeing sustained drone activity. The damage is escalating, and the city is on high alert.”
Engineers estimate significant structural damage, and the authorities are working to maintain traffic flow and civilian safety.
Citizens are urged to follow official updates and stay clear of affected areas. View live coverage on our map below.
