Former Migos rapper Offset has been shot outside a casino in Florida, according to US media reports.
The 34-year-old, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, is in a stable condition and being closely monitored in hospital, a spokesperson informed Variety.
The Seminole Police Department confirmed to BBC Newsbeat that the incident occurred on Monday evening and that two people have been detained in connection with the shooting.
Police stated that the incident took place at a valet area after 19:00 on Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, resulting in non-life threatening injuries to an individual.
The investigation is ongoing, and BBC Newsbeat has reached out to Offset's representatives for further comment.
Offset is widely recognized for his role in the hip-hop trio Migos, along with Quavo and the late Takeoff. He married singer and rapper Cardi B in 2017, and the couple have three children, although they filed for divorce in 2024.
Migos achieved fame with their viral hit Versace in 2013 and later topped charts with Bad and Boujee in 2017.
Following the trio's split, Offset has pursued a solo career. Tragically, in November 2022, fellow member Takeoff was shot dead at a bowling alley in Houston, Texas, which sparked widespread outrage and grief over the senseless violence in the music community.
