Medical Plane With Six Missing Off Massachusetts Coast – Search Underway

US authorities are searching for six passengers after a Gulfstream G‑100 medical transport went missing early Saturday morning.

The flight departed Bermuda’s L.F.Wade International Airport at 23:40 local time and was scheduled to land at Boston’s Logan International at 01:30 EDT. Flight data shows the aircraft, operated by Latitude Air Ambulances, dropped from about 24,000 ft to 11,000 ft before contact was lost.

The FAA confirmed the loss and issued a search‑and‑rescue notice just after 01:00 local time. The US Coast Guard’s Northeast District has begun a combined air‑and‑water search off Nantucket, a Massachusetts island.

Rescue teams are focused on the waters around Nantucket, following clues from the flight’s radar and satellite tracker. Organisers are working with family members to provide updates.
