US pop star Lizzo has announced that she is relieved after a U.S. district judge dismissed the remaining claims in a lawsuit against her production company, Big Grrrl Big Touring.
The suit was brought by former wardrobe assistant Asha Daniels, who alleged she faced degradation, forced labor, denied medical care, and both sexual and racial harassment during a brief stint in 2023.
Judge Fernando Aenlle‑Rocha ruled that Daniels could not pursue the claims individually, but the company remained a defendant. The judge cited a lack of evidence that the company’s employees exhibited a hostile environment toward women.
Lizzo responded with an Instagram post: “I am relieved at the outcome and will continue to fight every claim made against me and my businesses. The truth matters more to me than anything.” She thanked her lawyers and expressed a commitment to spreading positivity through her platform.
The dismissal follows earlier court decisions that ruled against other related allegations, such as the 2025 fat‑shaming claim. Lizzo’s team has denied all sexual harassment claims from her tour dancers.
