Israeli Air Strikes on Southern Lebanese Village Kill 11, Including Two Children

At least 11 people, including two children, have been killed in a series of Israeli air strikes on the village of Kfar Rumman in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese state media.

Nine civilians died when a three‑storey residential building collapsed after being hit shortly after midnight. A second strike targeted a car that was carrying two paramedics, who were also killed.

The Israeli Defence Forces confirmed that an investigation is underway into the reports, following a pattern of retaliatory attacks that have been escalating since a series of drone strikes by Hezbollah on Israeli forces in occupied southern Lebanon.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has warned that the recent attacks represent a “dangerous escalation” that could jeopardise the U.S.‑brokered ceasefire that was agreed in June, aimed at ending the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

The blasts have left the village in disarray, with debris scattered across streets and emergency crews searching through rubble for survivors.
