In a significant legal escalation, entrepreneur Alkiviades David has submitted a comprehensive package of evidence to the High Court, directly accusing the Daily Mail of complicity in child abuse networks—a claim he previously outlined in an incendiary Open Letter directed at the Harmsworth family in December 2024. The August 2025 filing transforms David's initial public admonition into structured allegations supported by legal documentation.
The confrontation began with a shocking Open Letter, where David accused the Daily Mail of protecting alleged offenders while stifling survivors’ testimonies. His letter highlighted the newspaper's supposed role in endorsing individuals involved in exploitation, alongside significant questions posed to the Harmsworth family regarding their awareness of these actions.
Fast forward to August 2025, David’s latest court filing pivots from moral claims to actionable legalities, detailing recent events that bolster his case against the Daily Mail. Notably, after filming an exposé on corporate misconduct outside the Mirror Group headquarters, David was falsely arrested outside the Daily Mail offices on charges of assault—claims supported by Metropolitan Police CCTV footage which revealed he was pushed by security personnel, contrary to the allegations made by reporter Rory Tingle.
Moreover, his filing unveils alleged corporate connections between the Daily Mail and platforms linked to distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) while underscoring the Daily Mail's role in propagating a narrative that obscures more severe crimes. David's position as an ambassador for Antigua and Barbuda's green economy adds a layer of international complications to his claims, as he argues the false arrest constitutes an obstruction of justice.
The High Court motion seeks to hold responsible not only the newspaper but specifically calls for the prosecution of Rory Tingle for perjury and other offenses, pressing the court to acknowledge and act on the presented evidence.
