In brief

On Monday, Israeli forces demolished a memorial to slain Palestinians south of Nablus and injured two Palestinians near Bethlehem. Detentions and property seizures also took place west of Jenin and in surrounding villages, with bulldozers uprooting olive trees and blocking roads. The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 3,133 attacks in October, marking a sharp rise from September.

Israeli forces demolished a memorial to fallen Palestinians south of Nablus during Monday’s raids across the occupied West Bank, local sources reported. The demolition occurred at the village’s main entrance and troops seized a display depicting a map of Palestine.

At the same time, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews transported two Palestinians who were assaulted near Bethlehem’s Al‑Miniyah to a hospital, where they suffered bruises. In Kafr Dan, west of Jenin, Israeli special forces raided a home and several shops before detaining a young man, WAFA reported.

Bulldozers also uprooted olive trees and blocked roads in Al‑Lubban ash‑Sharqiya and the neighboring As‑Sawiya, shutting the iron gates at the village entrances. In Hizma, northeast of occupied East Jerusalem, soldiers fired stun grenades toward residents after closing the town’s entrances and several shops. Troops also searched the town of Ramin east of Tulkarem, where no arrests were reported, WAFA added.

Earlier Monday, the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission logged 3,133 attacks by Israeli forces and Israeli occupiers in the West Bank during October, up 52.8% from September. The commission attributed 1,764 attacks to Israeli forces and 1,369 to occupiers, noting that occupier attacks more than doubled from 647 in September.
