UK rapper Yung Filly says his “vibes were good” with the woman he’s accused of raping after performing at a Perth nightclub in September 2024.
Barrientos, who is on trial in Western Australia, told the District Court that the interaction was positive: “I recall putting my hand on her waist, but I did not touch her breasts or go below the belt.” He further added that the couple had “vibes were good” when they later went to his hotel room.
The allegations, made by a 20‑year‑old woman, involve six counts of non‑consensual sexual penetration, three counts of assault causing bodily harm and a strangulation charge. Barrientos has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The alleged incident followed a concert in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth. According to the defence, the alleged victim and Barrientos had consensual sex before a confrontation that led to claims of violence.
Barrientos has been travelling around Australia for shows since mid‑2024, and was granted bail with permission to return to the UK for four months before heading back to Western Australia for the trial.
