Singer Lola Young has told fans she is 'doing OK now' after collapsing on stage during a performance in New York on Saturday.
The 24-year-old was performing at the All Things Go Festival when she dropped her microphone and fell backwards, causing concern among fans and fellow performers.
In a statement on social media, Young thanked her supporters and assured them of her recovery, saying, Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola. Videos from her performance show her looking uncomfortable prior to her collapse.
Earlier in her set, she mentioned having 'a tricky couple of days' due to a 'sensitive matter,' referencing challenging personal circumstances.
Following the incident, rapper Doechii, who performed after Young, rallied the crowd to shout 'we love you Lola' in a show of support.
Young, a former student from the Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology, gained prominence with her 2024 hit song 'Messy,' which topped charts across several countries.
No additional performances have yet been canceled following the incident.
