Thank you all for your patience and support,” he stated. V shared that his time in the military allowed for personal rejuvenation and expressed eagerness to reunite with the ARMY, the official name for BTS fans. Since debuting in 2013, BTS has skyrocketed to success, especially after a landmark US tour in 2017 that brought their unique sound—infused with pop, hip-hop, and R&B—to a broader audience. The band holds numerous accolades, being the most-streamed group on Spotify and the first K-pop act to reach the top of various music charts. Their activism extends beyond music, as they've addressed youth issues and discussed anti-Asian hate crimes at significant platforms, including the United Nations.
