Nvidia Secures $500 Billion AI Infrastructure Funding From Wall Street
In a landmark announcement that could reshape the AI supply chain, NVIDIA has secured a $500 billion capital injection from some of the world’s largest investment banks and asset managers. The partners include Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs and KKR.
"In AI, compute is revenue," said CEO Jensen Huang. "We are bringing the world’s leading long‑term capital providers together to independently underwrite AI infrastructure." The money will finance projects owned by NVIDIA and those spearheaded by its partners, ranging from new data‑center constructions to the manufacture of next‑generation GPUs.
Korea‑based entrepreneurs Joe Bae and Scott Nuttall, co‑CEOs of KKR, added that "compute has become a critical infrastructure asset," noting that the real challenge lies in delivery rather than ambition.
This partnership comes at a time when tech behemoths—Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, SpaceX, Tesla, OpenAI and Anthropic—are collectively investing over $1 trillion in AI initiatives. Their appetite for NVIDIA’s GPUs has driven the company’s market cap up fivefold in the past three years.
Apollo’s president Jim Zelter described modern compute as "a scarce, mission‑critical asset class" poised to catalyse long‑term economic growth and productivity gains. BlackRock has recently signed a deal to finance a data‑center in Texas in partnership with Meta, while Anthropic has secured backing from Macquarie Asset Management and Singapore’s GIC for its Claude chatbot’s infrastructure needs.
With these new funding avenues, NVIDIA plans to expand its role from chip maker to “AI factory” builder, enabling the scaling of AI services globally.
