Bruce, the conservative media figure, who has been with the State Department since Trump took office, is poised to take on a pivotal role at the UN if her nomination receives Senate approval.

U.S. President Donald Trump has recently nominated Tammy Bruce, the current State Department spokeswoman and a former Fox News host, to be the United States' deputy representative to the United Nations. In a post on Truth Social, Trump praised Bruce's performance at the State Department since January, branding her a "Great Patriot, Television Personality, and Bestselling Author."

Tammy Bruce, whose career has spanned over 20 years in conservative media, is known for her strong critiques of liberal policies. She has authored several books, including "Fear Itself: Exposing the Left's Mind-Killing Agenda." It remains uncertain when she might officially assume her new responsibilities, pending confirmation by the Senate.

In his post, Trump highlighted Bruce's "fantastic job" and her ability to represent the US effectively at the UN. While serving as spokeswoman, Bruce has actively defended controversial US foreign policy decisions, such as the immigration crackdown and the use of private military contractors for aid distribution in Gaza. Meanwhile, Trump's nominee for UN ambassador, Mike Waltz, awaits Senate confirmation, with Dorothy Shea currently holding the position as acting ambassador.
