On November 3, 2026, Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, called Egyptian foreign minister Badr Abdelatty to discuss recent regional developments and strategies to curb escalating tensions in the Gulf and wider Arab world, Saudi Press Agency confirmed.

Details of the Call

The two ministers, speaking on a private line, highlighted that coordination and dialogue remain essential for de‑escalating potential conflicts. They underscored the importance of continuous consultation and support for diplomatic solutions that preserve regional security.

Both sides noted the need to prevent the spread of existing conflicts and to work closely with other Arab partners to maintain stability across the region.

During the conversation, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s stance against any threat to the security of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states, stressing that such security is integral to Arab national security, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Earlier reports by other regional outlets also noted that the ministers reviewed current tensions amid broader Middle Eastern disputes, although those sources did not provide additional detail beyond the Saudi Press Agency’s account.
