The Russian Defence Ministry announced on Friday that its forces performed 11 coordinated attacks on Ukrainian targets over the past week and intercepted more than 5,315 drones, missiles, and rockets, Xinhua reported.
The strikes hit military‑industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, energy and transport infrastructure, production workshops and storage facilities for cruise missiles, ground‑robotic systems, drones and ammunition. Russian forces also struck 14 dry‑cargo ships carrying weapons and dual‑use goods, as well as Ukrainian port infrastructure that receives and distributes military cargo.
According to Xinhua, Russian air defence units shot down one guided aerial bomb, four Flamingo missiles, six Neptune missiles, two HIMARS rockets and 5,315 drones during the same period.
Ukrainian media reported that Ukrainian forces targeted two Russian ammunition depots in the Zaporizhzhia region and destroyed a drone command post and a fuel and lubricants depot in Donetsk on Thursday and Friday.
Russian attacks across Ukraine reportedly killed one person and injured 23 others over the past day, Ukrainian media said on Friday, adding the toll to the ongoing conflict’s human cost.
The Ministry’s statement comes as peace negotiations remain stalled, and analysts note that the recent escalation reflects a surge in tactical operations on both sides.
