Hongkongers Squawk-Off in City’s First Bird Call Contest
The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society hosted its first-ever bird call contest on Saturday, aimed at raising awareness about conservation.
Participants dressed up and took to the stage to replicate the rhythmic calls of various birds, including the Koel, the Asian barred owlet, and the Chestnut-winged cockatoo.
The top prize was awarded to Bob Chan for his exceptional impression of a Eurasian tree sparrow. This event showcased the diverse birdlife in Hong Kong, where over 580 different species have been documented.
