The latest Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians, according to local and medical sources cited by Xinhua.

Local reports say an Israeli drone fired a missile at a checkpoint operated by the Hamas‑run Crossings and Borders Authority in the Mawasi area of Rafah, a southern Gaza city. Three of the victims, all employees of Gaza’s agriculture, economy, and petroleum and gas authorities, were killed and several others wounded, medical sources told Xinhua.

Separately, a Palestinian was killed in an Israeli strike that targeted a group of people in the Al‑Bayouk neighborhood of central Khan Younis. Medical sources also said that several other people were injured, some seriously.

The Gaza health ministry added that the death toll in the territory has risen to 1,568 since the 2025 ceasefire, with 5,649 wounded. Since the outbreak of the conflict on Oct. 7, 2023, the cumulative death toll has reached 74,564 and 175,770 people have been wounded, the ministry noted.

There has been no immediate comment from the Israeli military about the strikes.
