The case now moves to the home secretary for a decision on her extradition following her arrest in west London.

A judge has determined that Kimberlee Singler, a 36-year-old US mother, will not be able to avoid extradition to the United States, where she is facing serious charges of murdering her two children, Elianna, aged nine, and Aden, aged seven. The tragic deaths of the children occurred in Colorado Springs on December 19, 2023.

Singler was reportedly apprehended in London on December 30, just over a week after the discovery of her children's bodies. In court, District Judge John Zani disclosed that the case will now await a decision from the home secretary regarding the extradition process.

During the proceedings, the prosecutor, Joel Smith, detailed the circumstances surrounding the children's deaths, emphasizing that they were found after a 911 call regarding a burglary led police to Singler's residence. Upon arrival, authorities found the two deceased children alongside a blood-stained firearm in the bedroom.

Investigators conducted DNA tests that linked evidence found at the scene—including the handgun and a knife—to both the children and Singler. Efforts to point towards her husband as the culprit were dismissed when he provided a GPS-tracked alibi, proving he was far from the scene during the time of the tragedy.

A third child, who remains unnamed, was also discovered at the home with significant injuries but has survived and received medical attention. The allegations have drawn attention due to the reported contentious custody battle between Singler and her ex-husband, Kevin Wentz, which enveloped the incidents leading up to the children's deaths.
