U.S. Central Command announced that U.S. warships launched “powerful” strikes against Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) small boats and maritime targets around Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. The attack was a retaliatory measure after Iranian forces struck three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz on the previous day.

Video footage captured a fire burning in a facility in Bandar Abbas immediately following the U.S. strikes, confirming the impact of the attack. The targeted sites included the industrial area of Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and the coastal town of Sirik.

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister called the United States’ actions a violation of the US‑Iran Memorandum signed last month. He warned Tehran that it would take “decisive measures” in response, emphasizing that the attacks contravened agreed protocols.

State media reported that the strikes hit Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas and Sirik, showing strong damage to the facilities. The incident escalated tensions in the region, with both sides reaffirming warnings of escalation and readiness to act.
