Tiger Woods, the renowned golfer, will change his plea in a Florida court after a March rollover crash that led to his arrest for driving under the influence.
Police released body‑camera footage in April showing Woods leaving his vehicle unharmed through the passenger door after the car clipped a truck and flipped over, with no injuries sustained. In the footage, he calmly kneels, stating, "I looked down at my phone, and all of a sudden, boom," and claims he had not consumed alcohol that day; he declined a urinalysis for other drugs.
A subsequent police report identified two white pills—hydrocodone—in his pocket, suggesting possible impairment from prescription medication. Woods earlier pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor DUIs and has now signalled his intent to seek treatment, announcing an upcoming break from professional play while the legal matter continues.
