Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, known simply as Valentino, has passed away at the age of 93.
His death was confirmed in a statement by the Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti Foundation, which revealed that he died peacefully in his home in Rome, surrounded by family.
In honor of the fashion legend, the foundation announced that Valentino would be lying in state at Piazza Mignanelli on the 21st and 22nd of January.
A funeral service will be held at the Basilica of Saint Mary of the Angels and Martyrs the following day, on January 23.
