Another alarming case involved Jaime Alanis, a 57-year-old farmworker, who died after falling from a greenhouse roof during an ICE raid in southern California. Family members report that Alanis was merely trying to hide and was not in custody at the moment of the tragic accident.

Subsequent incidents show a pattern, including a man, identified as Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez, who was struck by a vehicle while attempting to flee ICE agents near a Home Depot in California. Authorities indicated he was not being actively pursued when he ran onto the freeway.

The consequences of these aggressive immigration tactics are increasingly dire, as communities call for a comprehensive review and accountability in how enforcement actions are conducted.
