Ariana Grande has confirmed that she will stop making public appearances and will no longer be part of the upcoming London revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George.
After completing her Eternal Sunshine concert tour, the 33‑year‑old singer will turn away from the spotlight, citing the “endless, ongoing public scrutiny” of her appearance and health.
Her representative told People magazine that she will finish the tour on a high note—both healthily and happily—before taking a well‑deserved break from public‑facing work.
The West End production, scheduled for 2027 at the Barbican, confirmed that Grande is no longer involved and expressed full support for her decision, although a replacement has yet to be announced.
Grande was slated to work alongside British actor Jonathan Bailey in the revival, and the tour’s final show is set for September 1 in London.
Speculation around her health and appearance intensified after the release of her new album Petal and its promotional video, which highlighted the singer’s demanding physical performance style.
For now, Grande will focus on finishing her tour and enjoying a private break away from the public eye.
