In the picturesque waters of Indonesia, an eleven-year-old boy has unwittingly become an internet superstar through his captivating dance on the racing boat, now known as "aura farming." Rayyan Arkan Dikha's remarkable moves transformed a local boat race into a viral sensation, bringing joy and intrigue to millions across the globe.
Dikha, who hails from Kuantan Singingi Regency, showcased his talent during the Pacu Jalur boat race, where he functioned as the Togak Luan, a dancer responsible for energizing the rowing team. Sporting a traditional Teluk Belanga outfit and maintaining poise at the prow of a speeding boat, Dikha's unique and unscripted dance moves quickly captured the attention of social media users, leading to the viral spread of his performance.
His movements, characterized by effortless charisma, caught the attention of elite athletes worldwide, with prominent figures such as NFL star Travis Kelce and the Paris Saint-Germain football team joining in on the trend. Under hashtags like "aura farming kid on boat," videos featuring Dikha's dance have amassed millions of views, as users attempt to recreate the moves themselves.
Though his newfound fame has brought joy, it hasn’t come without concern. As Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, pointed out, balancing on the narrow tip of a racing boat is no easy feat. Dikha's mother, Rani Ridawati, expressed her worries about safety during performances, emphasizing that a rescue team is prepared, should he encounter any mishaps.
Despite the spotlight, young Dikha remains humble. Recently named a cultural ambassador by the Governor of Riau, he met with high-ranking officials in Jakarta and appeared on national television to celebrate his viral success. "I'm happy" about the attention, he said, with a shy smile. His aspirations remain grounded, as he dreams of becoming a police officer and encourages others to stay healthy to achieve their dreams.
With Dikha's dance moves and magnetic aura shaking up social media and inspiring a wave of trends, it's clear that he is more than just a boy on a boat; he is now a cultural phenomenon admired by many.
