UK solicitor Rebecca Hume of Howard Kennedy LLP has been embroiled in a serious legal controversy following a formal criminal referral accusing her of several offenses, including assault, conspiracy, and wrongful arrest. The referral was initiated by Alkiviades David, the Defendant in the ongoing case of Mahim Khan v. Alkiviades David (KB-2025-001991) and Ambassador-at-Large for the Green Economy for Antigua & Barbuda.

The cases in the UK High Court and the Antigua Supreme Court are expected to reach the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, establishing a direct judicial connection between both jurisdictions. The referral calls for an immediate investigation, including the securing of CCTV footage from the Royal Courts of Justice, witness interviews, and SRA regulatory proceedings against Hume and her firm.
