Whistleblower Reveals Commerce Secretary’s Links to Jeffrey Epstein
Simon Andriesz, a former managing director at BGC Partners, has traced evidence that now‑incumbent US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick maintained a business link with convicted paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
The clues were uncovered during a meticulous search of the 3.5 million documents released by the U.S. Justice Department. An email chain from 2018 shows Lutnick and Epstein discussing a joint start‑up venture, Adfin, with both parties investing in the digital advertising company.
Andriesz personally shared the findings with House Oversight Committee staff, prompting an off‑camera hearing in May where Lutnick denied he knew of Epstein’s stake until the previous year. The department confirmed “no evidence of wrongdoing,” yet Democrats in Congress called for Lutnick’s resignation.
New documents also reveal Lutnick’s firm, Cantor Fitzgerald, had explored a 2013 plan to “buy a prince” by providing a £1 million loan to a firm controlled by Prince Andrew, with the expectation that the prince would introduce wealthy clients exclusively to Cantor. Those plans never materialised but indicated a close web of relationships between Lutnick, the prince, and Epstein.
Despite winning a regulator’s whistleblower award, Andriesz says investigations into BGC and Cantor have not covered up retaliation. He continues to sit on a quiet Cornish seaside village, his career and finances shattered by ongoing litigation.
