Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff survived a shooting in Mumbai and has not sustained any gunshot wounds, according to Indian police.
The 36‑year‑old was shot at on Sunday evening while he was in a car leaving a football club in the Juhu suburb.
Several news outlets released a video showing at least two gunmen firing multiple shots at close range at the front passenger seat of a moving car as a crowd watched.
The shooting has intensified concerns about the safety of public figures in India, following recent targeted attacks that resulted in injuries or deaths.
"These attempts to intimidate people will not be tolerated, and we will put an end to this hooliganism," said Eknath Shinde, deputy chief minister of Maharashtra.
Shinde visited Shroff after the attack, noting that the actor and his mother had been left “shaken.”
Police said two people were injured, including Shroff’s driver, as reported by local media.
This incident follows a string of attacks on prominent Indian public figures.
In 2024, authorities arrested two gang members for a gun attack on Salman Khan’s home, and politician Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai the same year.
Tiger Shroff, son of two actors, debuted in 2014’s romance film Heropanti and has since starred in several popular films. He also plays professional football for Mumbai FC.
