After being extradited from Dubai following a 2024 arrest, 49‑year‑old Daniel Kinahan faced new charges in Dublin. The court heard he directed a criminal organisation between 2015 and 2017, trafficking drugs and firearms worldwide. Kinahan told the judges that he did not expect bail and was remanded in custody. The case marks a significant blow to the Kinahan cartel, which has operated for more than two decades.
