Kendrick Lamar and Lady Gaga lead the nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards, with the Rap giant taking the most nominations overall with nine, while Gaga follows with seven. This year’s nominations also showcase the growing presence of K-Pop in major musical accolades.
Lamar's nominations include the prestigious Album of the Year for his project 'GNX', which continues to cement his reputation in the industry. Meanwhile, Gaga is also up for Album of the Year with her record 'Mayhem', known for its electro-pop roots and personal storytelling.
Significantly, two K-Pop hits have been shortlisted for Song of the Year: 'APT' by Rosé and Bruno Mars, and 'Golden' by Hunter/x, marking a historic first for the genre in this category.
Alongside Lamar and Gaga, other prominent contenders include Bad Bunny, nominated for the critically acclaimed 'Debí Tirar Más Fotos', and Sabrina Carpenter, who has garnered significant praise for her song 'Manchild'. The nominations reflect a diversity of musical styles and backgrounds.
