Biden blasted former President Donald Trump as a \loser\ for his vanity projects during a Democratic Party fundraiser in Hanover, Maryland.
Biden denounced Trump’s plans to demolish part of the White House East Wing to create a new ballroom, rename the Kennedy Center after himself, and build an arch honouring Trump. He also criticized the $14.7-million refurbishment of the Reflecting Pool, which later developed algae problems.
He further criticized Trump’s attempt to reimburse January 6 insurrectionists, saying it would be wrong for taxpayers to fund them.
Trump has yet to reply to Biden’s remarks, though he criticized Biden in turn on Truth Social.
The comments come amid a heated pre‑election rhetoric clash between the two leaders.
