V reveals hearing loss battle during livestream

V, a member of pop sensation BTS, said he has been receiving treatment for hearing loss in one ear during the middle of the band's world tour.

In a Wednesday livestream, the 30‑year‑old opened up to fans about a two‑and‑a‑half‑year struggle with hearing in his left ear, while his right ear suffers more severe loss.

He explained that the problem intensified while he served in the South Korean military and initially ignored it as a “mental strength” issue, but now follows medication and regular hospital visits.

The livestream followed BTS’s concerts in Baltimore, and V was joined by group mate Jungkook, who also shared his battle with a shin injury on the tour.

The Arirang World Tour reignites the group’s global performance schedule, taking them from South Korea to cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and London.
