BBC questions Infantino over backing as Fifa president


The BBC has asked Fifa president Gianni Infantino if he has the support of football's South American governing body, Conmebol.


Infantino has faced multiple calls to resign following his highly controversial bid to sell private stakes in the World Cup – a plan that was later abandoned.


The Fifa head did not answer the BBC’s questions and was in Colombia attending the inauguration of the new president, Abelardo de la Espriella.
