Pop star Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against two unnamed hackers who, according to her legal team, stole and leaked unreleased music and studio footage.
In the filings, Grande’s lawyers allege the hackers targeted photographers and producers to gain access to her collaborators’ computers, with the stolen material later sold on the dark web for “significant sums of money.”
The documents state that 45 of Grande’s songs were hacked, stolen and leaked in 2023 alone, after “hundreds of similar leaks” have occurred since her 2011 debut.
She is suing to uncover the identity of the hackers, claiming the breach violated her “sacred relationship with her fans” and caused substantial, irreparable harm.
Grande has previously expressed a desire to hold hackers accountable, citing a 2024 interview in which she discussed the song “Fantasize,” written with Max Martin, and its post‑leak viral backlash.
The suit arrives just as Grande’s new studio album, “Petal,” is set for release this Friday, and she is mid‑tour, continuing a world‑tour that is expected to hit the UK in August.
